What? It’s July already?
Sorry to be late, but it’s been a busy month. The long saga of
Secret Baby, Surprise Parents – the pineapple – has finally reached
a conclusion. Book written, revisions done, all I have to do now is
check the page proofs and then wait for a box of books to arrive in the
post before publication next April (I think). A bit of a marathon, but
in the end it was worth it.
As soon as the dust had settled, I started a “trading places” duet of
books for publication at the end of next year and somehow, without my
noticing it, the calendar switched from June to July while I was
deciding the who, the what if and the where. The journey that Roseanne
and George take in the first book is now fairly clear – allowing for a
few diversions on route. I’m still working on Lydia’s big adventure.
One thing did catch my notice, though. An email from my editor telling
me that
100 ARABIAN NIGHTS
hit The Bookseller’s “Heatseekers” chart – that’s hot books, selling
fast – in the UK this week. To get there it has to compete with not
only series books, but the mainstream titles as well. Hugely exciting.
And my own story in this anthology, Chosen As the Sheikh’s Wife,
received the following delightful review:
“With
its humor, chance and kismet, an exotic setting and history, Liz
Fielding writes a romance that will delight readers. Drama, vivid
imagery, powerful emotions and family history mixed with legends
create a romance that will live in the reader's imagination. The
family history of Violet and Fayad is a love that spans generations
and oceans!
CHOSEN AS THE SHEIKH'S WIFE
is an exquisite finale in a magnificent anthology that will transport
readers with its mesmerizing romance and compelling characters.”

It
isn’t on sale in the US or Australia yet, and I don’t have a date, but
it is available at the
Mills & Boon website under July Special Releases, or at
The Book Depository, who don’t charge postage even for
international buyers.
Wedded in a Whirlwind,
a follow up to Reunited:
Marriage in a Million, will be published in November.
Trapped in the dark, certain she's about to die, Miranda Grenville
believes things can't get any worse. She's wrong. She's trapped with
Nick Jago...
